Set your Thanksgiving Table - Asian Style

Ever wonder how to make your thanksgiving different? Add an Asian tweak!

1/ Many Asians prefer round tables where they can enjoy more closeness as they have conversations in their family gatherings. You can use a long table cover of burlap and place "lazy suzans" on the table (Asians love lazy susans).

2/ Place a large plate to hold a candle and decorate around the base with bay leaves, and orchid flower. Tangerine candle usually make a lovely citrus aroma.

3/ Make a wonderful centerpiece for your table with an exotic fruit arrangement such as star fruit, tamarind, mango, kumquats, pineapple, Asian pears, persimmons, dragon fruit, (You can find it in an Asian market). Arrange in a huge bowl. Arrange your food on the table right before serving.

4/Serve food in traditional Chinese bowls and arrange chopsticks, tied together with a festive ribbon, in either red or pink napkins.

5/Asian dinner is always served with dry white wine or sake. Beer and Soju drinks are also very popular in Asia. For kids, prepare an Asian fruit punch with pineapple, mango, and lemonade. Follow with Jasmine tea or any Chinese tea you prefer.
